No Suction At The Tracker Bar

Dr. Dave,  Just a couple of guesses here.  Some players have a cutoff
valve block that cuts off suction during rewind.  Others have a "silent"
button that does the same thing.  Perhaps a loose tube or connecting
rod?

One time I put a player together with new gaskets, but I forgot to cut
out the hole in the middle for the air passage!
