Mechanical Music in Belgium
By Mike Knudsen

Thanks to the many who replied in public or private about my
upcoming trip through Amsterdam and Eastern Europe. Just to add
to the confusion, I will finish off with a couple days in Brussels,
Belgium. I intend to visit Bruges on a side trip.

I already have been warned about the strong -- but tasty! -- beers,
and the beautiful medieval guild halls, and I've read of carillons
played by huge iron barrels (maybe the largest mechanical music
instruments in existence?). Any suggestions where to best see and
hear such carillons, and anything else worth seeing?

Thanks again and in advance --
Mike Knudsen
