History of Tangley CA-43 Calliope in Vermont
By Ron Maland

I am new to this group and to the instrument I recently purchased,
a Tangley CA 43 manual play unit, serial # 1135. With the unit came
the following info -- an article from the Middlebury College in
Vermont that this unit was sold by them in 1968. Previous to that
the instrument was used by a traveling carnival that frequented
Springfield, Vermont, around 1953.

I first would like to trace the history, if anyone knows, and secondly
I would like to convert it to a MIDI player. The second part will
come eventually. Is there a list of serial numbers somewhere?

Thank all for now,
Ron Maland
