Symphonion 13 5/8" Discs Wanted
By Mark Buckland

This is an amendment to my 090807 request for spare 13 1/4" Symphonion
discs. On closer inspection and research using the Bowers "bible," I
find that the machine I have purchased without discs is a style 30N
Symphonion. The required disc size is therefore 13 5/8". This must
have caused complications when ordering discs as they are not
interchangeable.

Incidentally, does anyone know whether these are the 14" discs that
play on the Symphonion Eroica triple-disc machines, or is that another
type?

My Symphonion is interesting as it uses the same comb arrangement as
the 11 7/8" sublime harmony boxes but with the addition of a further
two "piccolo" combs located at the treble end. I'm sure the effect
will be very pleasing once I get to hear it!

If anyone has any surplus 13 5/8" discs, I would be very pleased to
hear from you.

Mark Buckland
