John Farrell A-roll Release JAM A-8 Correction
By Bob Billings

The title of tune 9 on John Farrell's new JAM A-8 A-roll should be
"Who Stole My Heart Away".

When John sent me the file he titled it "Whoa! Nellie!", and from his
notes he clearly intended to send me that tune. Instead he sent the
file for "Who Stole..." -- just one little letter difference in that
first word.

"Whoa! Nellie!" is a 1915 raggish tune that has no relation to
"Who Stole My Heart Away." The A-roll arrangement of "Whoa!" probably
still exists on John's computer and would be nice to include on a roll,
if it can be tracked down. I should have listened to his earlier piano
roll file of "Whoa!" when the A-roll file sounded so familiar. As that
old saying goes, never assume anything.
