Musical Box Sound Volume is Weak
By Mike Schoeppner

Stellas have a wooden post to transfer the sound, extending from
the center of the bedplate casting to the bottom of the case. It is
glued to the bottom of the case, and fastened to the bedplate with
a screw. You will see a countersunk screw hole between the comb and
the "a" in Stella. After someone pointed out my screw was missing,
I was able to double the volume of the box.
