Musical Box Sound Volume is Weak
By Bruce Mercer

Let me remind people of something I have seen that reduces volume of
any music box. Any music box should sit directly on top of a wooden
table, disc case or stand with no felt pads on it's feet or anything
else. The idea is a wood to wood transfer of sound waves. The amount
of sound transmitted through the feet or lack of, is easily heard.
It's a night and day difference.

Hope this may help.
