Stella Musical Box Winding Problem
By Daniel Jackson

I have a Stella in my clock shop for repair. I have cleaned and
replaced the mainsprings and cleaned the movement. There seems to be
something missing in the winding portion of it. I can find no pawl or
any place where one ever fit to make contact with the ratchet wheel.

Am I missing something in how the tension on the mainspring barrel is
held? Does anyone have a picture or diagram of the winding mechanism?
This Stella plays a 17" disc.

Thanks,
Dan Jackson
