Band Organs at Tilden Park, Berkeley, Calif.
By Claudine Jones

I'm going to follow up on this issue; it was my understanding the first
time we went to Tilden Park this July, that we were in fact listening
to a CD. That's what the employees said. Then fast forward to this
past incident in September and suddenly they got nuttin'? I don't
think so -- doesn't make sense.

The big organ off to the side of the carousel is dusty and covered with
boxes of varying sizes which appear to be random storage. There is a
roll, which looks to be part way through playing, visible on the right
side. The small organ in the middle is totally ignored; one of the
fellows running the ride had his lunch spread out back there. The
doors on the building are flung wide open when the weather permits, but
that's somewhat chancy.

I think it would be a great idea to isolate the organ in the middle with
glass if there is some way to do it that's acoustically acceptable. If
we need to send these hoople-heads another set of CDs, I'll pay for it.
