Regulating the Piano Action to the Player Action

Far be it for me to question another piano technician's analysis of the
action, but not all actions are built to the same hammer-blow distance
specifications.  If the piano is as little-used as you suggest, it
bears checking around to find the factory specifications.

Did it play well before this change was attempted?  If ain't broke,
don't fix it!
