Improvements at Central Park Carousel, New York
By Matthew Caulfield

This will be good news to carousel lovers and band organ purists.
The ugly monkey faces on New York's Central Park Carousel band
organ have been removed and trashed by the Trump Organization,
which manages the concession for the City.

Those two plaster faces have been leering at riders from their
positions in front of the bass drum and snare drum for decades.
Who added them to the organ façade and why is unknown, but they
are finally gone, one of the improvements to the operation made
by the Trump Organization since it took over a year or so ago.
