Wurlitzer Pianino Roll Sizes
By Jack M. Conway

Hi Group, Most Wurlitzer changers do not use single tune rolls.
The Wurlitzer BX automatic changer holds six 5-tune APP rolls.

The Pianino was equipped with a roll box that uses either 6-tune rolls
furnished with a wooden core and flanges, or 12-tune rolls furnished
with a 2" diameter cardboard core to be mounted on a metal roll chuck.
I had a roll chuck made for my 6-tune Pianino from a Wurlitzer 88 note
changer chuck, so that I could use Ray Siou's 6-tune re-cut Pianino
rolls which have a cardboard tube core and no flanges.

If anyone else is interested a list of my Pianino roll collection, send
an email to request it.
