Mechanical Music Auction in Cologne 19 Nov 2011
By Uwe Breker

Dear MMD, The next mechanical music auction in Cologne, Germany, takes
place on 19th November 2011. Highlights include a beautiful Bacigalupo
26-note barrel organ, a fine Hungarian silver-gilt singing bird cage
and a Regina Hexaphone in select original condition. Also included
is a particularly good selection of disc musical boxes and an early
part-overture 'fat cylinder' musical box by Lecoultre.

The automata section features a rare coin-operated 'Magic Theatre' by
Renou and a fine early Tightrope Dancer by Theroude in addition to a
single-owner collection of contemporary automata by collectable modern
makers such as Michel Marcu, Claude Laurent and Michel Bertrand.

The catalogue is available online at http://www.breker.com/ and
through http://www.liveauctioneers.com/search?q=Auction+Team+Breker
You can also watch and listen to many of the instruments live at
