Ampico Conversions from Duo-Art Rolls
By Walter Tenten

In MMD 111220, Eliyahu Shahar mentioned, "This rare roll is
one of those that were produced for the Ampico from Duo-Art's
library after the merger of the two companies."

Any idea how this was done? My specific question asks for the
procedure of converting the dynamic information.

[ I presume an Ampico piano was placed next to a Duo-Art piano
[ and a persevering editor (Frank Milne?) created Ampico codes
[ such that the Ampico performance sounded like the Duo-Art.
[ It's the same as making the piano 'reproduce' the performance
[ of a live artist (and perhaps improve it). -- Robbie
