Organ Rally 9-10 June, Knoebels Amusement Resort
By Wallace Venable

This Saturday & Sunday, June 9-10, 2012, there will be another COAA
(Carousel Organ Association of America) Rally at Knoebel's Amusement
Park in Elysburg, Pennsylvania (State College, PA, area). We always
get a great attendance at Knoebel's, both in terms of the public
attendance and in terns of the number and variety of organs. Host
Mark Chester reports that the following large organs are pre-registered:

Antique European Organs:
* Gavioli (89 key VB scale) - (The Diamond Jubilee Organ, the largest
touring antique fairground organ in the Americas which is making its
first COAA appearance since returning from improvements in England)
* Ruth model 33-A (56 key) playing Gustav Bruder rolls
* Bruder (56 key) playing 165 rolls
* Wilhelm Bruder (playing 165 rolls)
* Wilhelm Bruder (playing 150 rolls)

Contemporary European Organs:
* Page and Howard 90 Key
* Elbert Pluer Street Organ (64 key)

Antique American Organs (and a replica):
* N. Tonawanda Style 191
* Wurlitzer 103
* Wurlitzer 105 replica
* Wurlitzer 146
* Wurlitzer 148
* 2 Wurlitzer 153s
* Wurlitzer Style 164 ("The General")

Contemporary American Organs:
* Trudy concert organ (98 keyless)
* Stinson model 58 (75 key)
* Stinson 165 "Treveris"
* Stinson 165
* Stinson MA-2000-A

Calliope-voiced organs:
* Tangley Calliaphone replica
* ST58 Miner-Tangley Calliaphone
* Cozatt Calliope

Those are just the visitors! Knoebel's Amusement Park has at least
five of their own organs, and rally attendees will get to see several
which are not on regular public display.

There are also 23 small organs registered, ranging from 20 to 45 keys
in scale. These include both American and European factory models as
well as an assortment of home-built organs.

Admission and parking are always free at Knoebel's Amusement Park,
so not registering does not prevent you from seeing what may be The
Greatest Outdoor Organ Rally on Earth. Registrants typically receive
a book of ride tickets and a good picnic meal.
