Seek MIDI Control for "Santa's Marching Band"

Great info, Nick (or is that St. Nick???)  I have another somewhat
related query regarding my "Santa's Marching Band" that I would love
to modify (MIDIfy) to play MIDI-triggered cues from an existing MIDI
keyboard.

The little individual characters have a mallet to strike either of two
bells located to their sides.  It plays a musical loop of a dozen or so
Christmas carols from a computer chip into the wire attached to link
the "drummers" together.
