Seek Welte Licensee Reference Materials
By Adam Aceto

I have recently acquired a Welte Licensee grand and am working
towards bringing it back to life after several years of silence. When
I refurbished my Ampico and Duo-Art machines, I was fortunate to find
an abundance of information on the web and on MMD regarding their
restoration, repair and regulation. I am having difficulty finding
the same information regarding Welte Licensee.

I have a tubing chart and a Licensee test roll, along with the Reblitz
book and some German service manuals, but I still don't have enough
information to understand what the test roll is testing and how to
adjust, and what to adjust, properly. Referencing the MMD Archives,
many of the sources in the past for reference materials simply don't
seem to exist anymore (Vestal Press, etc.).

If someone could provide me with information on how, where and what to
regulate the Welte Licensee properly as well as vacuum readings for the
various steps, it would be greatly appreciated.
