I have a brand new custom set of Abel hammers and shanks for a Steinway
A.  My piano technician says they should fit pretty much every A and
also fit most B's.  The only variation is that Steinway used slightly
different hammer angles at various times when they went one way or the
other in optimizing for clearance vs. bet fit to the strings.

I will sell them at a very reasonable cost to someone who needs them.
The price will vary according to terms, e.g., returnable or not.
I have the sample hammers that were used to make this set and I can
send them to a potential buyer to compare to their hammers instead of
sending the whole set and finding that they are different.  I can also
measure boring angle for any hammers in the set.

These hammers were made in 2004 and have been stored since them.  How
I got them is an amusing story.
