Seek Journals for Mechanical Music Library
By William Edgerton

To MMD: The Mechanical Music Library is the largest such resource
in the USA that can be easily seen online and easily accessed in
person. Contributions to the Library are tax deductible and all
are acknowledged. To supplement our approximately 7,500 journals,
books, and catalogs, we seek the following:

- All issues of the German, French, and Italian societies' journals.

- All auction catalogs with mechanical musical instruments and
automata offerings, particularly any with dates of 1977 and earlier,
and especially Christie's South Kensington with plain yellowish covers.
If you have any Sotheby's auction catalogs we need scattered issues;
ask for a list.

- AMICA Bulletins for Sept. and Oct., 1974. Other scattered issues,
please ask for a list.

- Musical Box Society of Great Britain membership directories and
indexes.

- Player Piano Guild - all issues.

- Musical Box Society: any issues from December 1955 through
December, 1961; all 2013 issues; all 1963 issues.

- Het Pierement (the publication of KDV): July and October, 1999,
January and April, 2004.

We are always interested in postcards, clippings, instruction cards
and booklets, and books in any language not already in our catalog.

The catalog is keyword searchable and can be seen at
http://www.mechanicalmusiclibrary.org/ All auction catalog entries
have keywords of the five most important offerings, and organ
enthusiasts can locate approximately five most significant instrument
photographs in any issue of Het Pierement. More such keyword search
abilities are planned.

Contributions can be sent to Mechanical Music Library, c/o William
Edgerton, at the address below. Thanks for your consideration.
