QRS 2256 "Snakes Hips" Played by Thomas Waller
By Jeffrey Borinsky

Many thanks to Bob Pinkser and Robbie Rhodes for providing lots of
useful information. One mystery remains -- is there a recording
with lyrics of "Snakes Hips?" There's no problem finding it as an
instrumental, there are a couple on YouTube:

  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCnW6TIFsUk

and another here:

But surely somebody recorded it with the lyrics.

Another minor discrepancy is the number of snakes. The sheet music
and original QRS label say "Snakes Hips". My QRS recut label says
"Snake Hips", as do various other online appearances. "Snakes Hips"
sounds odd to my ears, but perhaps it was a common expression at the
time.
