Calliope Is Too Loud
By Rod Rogers

Art Reblitz was wondering what ever happened to the Gordon Lipe
calliope. Actually, I just may have it!

I bought this Tangley calliope from the estate of Ken Peterson of
Denmark, Kansas. It was on an early Diamond T truck with a red and
white canopy over the back as he described. It had a later Chevy
6-cylinder engine and drive train in place of the original. There
was a generator mounted on the truck, and the calliope was triggered,
song by song, by an older garage door remote control.

It sure sounds like it could be the one! If it is, it now lives in
Salina, Kansas.
