FS: Welte Baby Grand in White Plains, New York
By Vincent Morgan

There is a Welte baby grand and approximately 80 rolls (40 are
original) available for $500 in White Plains, New York. The piano is
in good condition and is being played every day. The main problem
is that is stuck on loud. Also, the two highest treble strings need
to be replaced. The seller is planning to move in the next few months
and would like for the piano to find a good home.

The seller, Barbara Edelmann, can be reached by phone at 914-428-1038
or by e-mail at barbara.edelmann@gmail.com.geentroep [delete
".geentroep" to reply]. Provenance and pictures are available upon
request.

[ I contacted Barbara for more information. She replied, "The piano
[ is 66" long... 5 feet. Unfortunately I am unable to access serial
[ number due to not being able to lift the heavy lid, since it needs
[ new pins in the hinges." She says decals on the key cover indicate
[ the piano was made by Edward P. Mason (a Jacob Doll brand) and it's
[ equipped with a Welte-Mignon (Licensee) player system. I thought
[ it sounded pretty good playing a Welte roll ("Cubist") in a short
[ video she sent me; maybe the loud playing is due to a mal-adjusted
 [ MF hook. -- Robbie
