Cranker's Museum Open House Sunday 6 August
By Ben Gottfried

Cranker's Collection of Mechanical Marvels will be holding their
annual open house and car show this weekend on Sunday, August 6, 2017,
between 12 noon and 4 p.m. We will be playing their collection of
large organs starting around 1:00 p.m. They have a nice collection of
large organs, including the Verbeeck 61-key Hatwell Brothers fairground
organ, an 80-key portable dance organ and an 84-key Mortier cafe organ.

Also, new this year is a 112-key jazz orchestrion with an "Electrosax"
feature. I installed a DeCap MIDI drive in the organ and will be
playing some tunes composed for the organ by Tom Meijer. The organ
is still undergoing repair but we thought it would be nice to play the
organ for the first time for the public anyhow.

The museum is located in Northeast Pennsylvania near Honesdale.
