Seek Photos of Polyphon 15.5" Mechanism
By Mark Buckland

Dear MMD, I am restoring an early Polyphon style 53 upright disc
player. It plays 15.5" discs. The case is a coin operated upright
model with integral disc bin.  The bedplate is mounted horizontally;
it has duplex combs with felt dampers. The mechanism is coin operated
but unfortunately this is missing. I am looking for photographs and
dimensions to aid the reproduction of the missing parts if anyone
can help.

It is worth noting that although the mechanism had a coin pan I believe
this was only used as a trip to set the movement in action and the coin
dropped immediately into the coin drawer. Other Polyphons used the
system where the coin sat in the pan and was dropped into the coin
drawer about half way through the playing of a disc.

If you can help me with this request for photos of the missing
mechanism it would be much appreciated.
