Greetings everyone, It appears the music mechanism is an after-market
installation done by a skilled craftsman. Again, the clock's movement
was made by Junghans the second half of 1911. It is believed the music
mechanism was installed in Germany but when remains a mystery.

If it helps identify the age and maker of the music mechanism the
tune on the cylinder has been identified as "Transvaal-Lied". It is
an abbreviated form of the national anthem of Transvaal (South Africa)
and was written by a Dutch poet named Catharina F. van Rees in 1875.

The music mechanism is in a clock made in Germany in 1911 with an
unknown music mechanism believed to have been installed there in
Germany with the abbreviated form of the national anthem of Dutch
Transvaal in Africa that was purchased in England in the early 1990's.

Any information would be greatly appreciated by the clock's owner as
well as myself. Thank you

Gary Martin
