3-bird Bontems-Reuge Electric Singing Bird Cage
By Troy Duncan

[ Nisan Cohen wrote, "Everything works but in slow motion."

The problem is most likely more than just the motor, meaning the
mechanical movement needs to be properly cleaned and lubricated too.

You have a "hybrid" movement that is almost identical to the mainspring
powered Bontems movements, with the primary exception being two electric
motors -- one operates the movement and the smaller motor is actually
used to create a pause in the bird singing (there is a notched cam).

These were first made right around the time Reuge acquired Bontems.
The motors on this one were French and marked for the year 1959. Here
is a link to a video I made in 2014 so you can see the movement in
action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t98oqkr32as

Kind regards,
Troy Duncan
