Status of Johnson Carousel Organs in Broome County
By Jim Leonard

I am curious if anyone knows the whereabouts and history of the
three Wurlitzer 146A band organs missing from the six Johnson
carousels in Broome County, New York. Status:

(1) Ross Park (1920) - Organ has been renovated and is in storage
until carousel is renovated.

(2) Recreation Park (1925) - This is the only 146B and is still
operating.

(3) Highland Park (1925) - Originally located at En-Joie Park in
Endicott. This is the Harvey Roehl organ currently in private
hands in Illinois.

(4) C. Fred Johnson Park (1923) - unknown

(5) George W. Johnson Park (1934) - unknown

(6) West Endicott Park (1929) - unknown

Any information is greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,
Jim Leonard
