Wilcox & White 58-note Reed Organ & Pushup Player
By Kevin McElhone

I have a Wilcox and White 58-note Symphony push-up piano-playing
instrument which also has a reed organ combination inside it to enable a
duet to be played of piano and reed organ. It was fully, professionally
restored about 15 years ago (by someone who is no longer working) and
has worked well until this week when I have be playing all of my rolls
to record for Mechanical Music Radio.

I have found that one note is cyphering -- that is, sticking 'on' --
but only when both organ and piano are being payed at the same time.
If just the piano or only the organ are being played there is no problem.

I do not understand this, as in theory the fingers to play the piano are
simply raised and lowered as required but are actually being 'played'
all of the time. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem
might be, please?
