Wide Format Roll Scanner Service
By John J. Breen

[ Ref. 210519 MMD, Seek Scanner for Reproduco Unified Theatre Organ ]

Jack Conway asked recently if anyone has a scanner capable of scanning
15-1/4" Reproduco Unified Theater Organ rolls. While I have not scanned
this particular type of roll, I have recently finished a project to scan
several hundred Seeburg H rolls, which are also 15-1/4" wide.

My scanner bed can scan rolls and books up to 21" wide. I have successfully
scanned more than a dozen types of rolls and books over the years, so I
have made many types of adapters to mount them.

I am currently in the process of scanning a large collection of Seeburg H
and Wurlitzer APP rolls for a collector which will tie up my scanner for
the next few months. Once that project is finished, I would be available
to scan.

My rate for scanning to create the image file is a penny per inch of media
scanned (a typical tune is 200 to 250 inches long). Conversion of the
image file to MIDI format is an additional fixed fee. The only other
costs are shipping and time based charges for things like roll repairs
and adapter manufacture.
