Wurlitzer 153 "Merry Ann" Is Playing Again
By Christian Tedesco

Hello MMD users, I am happy to announce the restoration of the
Wurlitzer 153 in the Randy Senna collection at the Retro Arcade,
2900 Boardwalk, Wildwood, New Jersey, which I visited in early
August. See
https://www.mmdigest.com/Archives/Digests/202108/2021.08.03.02.html

Only the Stinson Caliola was playing when I visited, but yesterday
the Wurlitzer was finally playing, after a restoration of the drum
pneumatics and the vacuum system. The facade also looks much shinier
and cleaner than when I saw it before.

Randy posted a rather enthusiastic video of the organ playing to
his Facebook page. It's interesting to note that the motor powers the
main shaft directly, and said shaft is on the opposite side as normal.
I didn't notice that when I visited since the organ was tucked away
in a corner. Please check out Randy on Facebook and give him some much
deserved love for this restoration!

Here is the video link; the organ plays throughout but is only seen
starting at 2 minutes and 20 seconds into the video:

I wish Randy and "Merry Ann" nothing but the best!
