| Dear MMDs, Auction Team Breker's next sale of mechanical music and
technical apparatus in Cologne, Germany, takes place on Saturday,
26 March, at 10:00 am (CET).
Highlights of the auction include a good selection of Art-Deco
radios (several in coloured catalin cases), carousel figures,
gramophones, numerous disc musical boxes, an excellent 48-key
trumpet organ by Bacigalupo and a Hupfeld "Helios" orchestrion
in nicely restored playing condition.
Among the cylinder musical boxes is rare a coin-activated station box
by "A l'Automate Français, Appareils Automatiques, Mon. Maillochon &
Cie., 29 Rue Meslay, Paris", complemented by bells with butterfly
strikers and dancing dolls in a garden landscape.
Also featured are a superb early fusee clock base by Charles-Frédéric
Nardin, two musical gold fob pendants, a musical Dutch bracket clock
with carillon, an overture snuff box (Auber's "Ouverture de Gustave")
and a large overture box by Paillard with the unusual addition of
"Elisa & Claudio" by Saverio Mercadante.
