Four New 12-tune Wurlitzer Style 165 Rolls
By Andrew Lardieri

Since applying for college (The College of New Jersey, TCNJ, to be
exact) I have decided to broaden my love for all things mechanical
music by commissioning new Wurlitzer Style 165 band organ rolls and
working with Mikey Mills of Cold Spring, Kentucky, in addition to
working with Andy Park and Glenn Thomas as usual.

This year marks the first year I have been doing a roll with Mikey,
as I am writing this post after seeing the special request 165 roll
that John Malone commissioned this year in joint with Mikey, and so
I thought I could do the same.

Right now I'm in the middle of commissioning roll 6912, another popular
Style 165 12-tuner with many classics from the 1920s and '30s, and so
far I can say it has been a wonderfully new and amazing experience.

My mission from commissioning these four 12-tune Style 165 rolls with
Mikey is to include a few popular tunes that were issued on the elusive
and expensive Style 180 rolls but haven't ever seen Style 165 paper.
