Treating Brittle Music Roll Paper
By Richard Cole

[ Ref. Ralph Schultz in 250613 MMDigest ]

There is no solution for treating this problem with paper. The rolls
in question were probably made from cheaper wood-pulp.

It might be worth ironing the affected area with a warm (_not hot!_)
iron using a piece of clean paper over the surface to isolate the iron
from the roll paper.

Also, perhaps adjust the tension brake on the roll spindle. It should
Have _just_ enough friction to keep the roll in contact with the
tracker bar.
