Seek Original Rolls For Universal Nickelodeon
By John Sampson

In the 1970's Universal Piano Co. built nickelodeons based on their
88-note players. They used a shortened version of an "O" roll spooled
on standard 88-note cores. The rolls were made by Play-Rite Music Rolls
and had about five tunes per roll.

Several years ago I rebuilt one of these nickelodeons for a customer
but he only has one roll for it. I know that I can cut down and respool
regular "O" rolls, but the owner would like to find some of the original
arrangements. If anyone has or knows of any of these rolls for sale,
please contact me.

Thanks for your help,

John Sampson
