This message is to announce the creation of a new Internet
mailing list for the purpose of discussing any and all aspects
of automatic musical instruments.  I've created this mailing list
at the suggestion of Terry Smythe who provided your name and
e-mail address for the list.  His thoughs on the list discussion
areas are:

# in player pianos, music boxes, band organs, pipe organs, horn¶
# phonographs, etc.    The dominant interest will of course be¶
# in reproducing pianos, player pianos, and roll-digital conversion.¶

I'll add that I have a personal interest in conversion of music
scores from one format to another, including instrument to instrument,
MIDI to perforator, MIDI to printer, emulation of band and pipe organs using traditional
MIDI synthesizers, etc.

If you would like to stay on this you do not need to do anything.

There are currently 47 addresses on the mailing list provided to me
by Terry and 4 that I added to it.  There are a wide variety of interests
and skills represented.  I invite each of you to introduce yourself.
Hopefully we will get some interesting conversations going.
