Re: Subscribers at the MBSI Convention
By Bob Conant

After looking at the list of people who have posted to the list, I recognize
at least 12 people who were at the convention besides myself and including no
less a luminary than Bea Robertson who organized the whole shebang ! and a
super event it was. Particularly interesting were several workshops given by
some of our overseas members including Stefan Muller, the president of Reuge
Music Boxes, Jan Jaap Haspels, curator of the Dutch Music Museum, Wolfgang
Brommer of Jager and Brommer organ manufacturers in Waldkirch Germany and
Kazuo Murakami, a well known author from Japan. Also in attendance were
Arthur Prinsen, a famous organ builder and music arranger from Belgium, Peter
Schuchtnecht, the largest collector in Germany and Siegfried Wendel, museum
owner in Germany and manufacturer of reproduction Hupfeld Phonolist-Violinas.
Nearly 500 persons attended and nearly 100 were from outside the US. A great
convention and many thanks to Bea and her crew of volunteers.
