MIDI Data in Text Format
By Matt Spolin

Automatic-Music member Claus Kucher in Vienna explores many
web-venues. ... I have a recollection of a DOS program named something
like "SongWriter", which used a Midi/Text file structure with parser.
Hey, Steve Goodman, didn't you use it for awhile? Is this a useful format,
or is it another dinosaur? [Why doesn't he just use Midi file format?!]
