Dave Levin Magic Piano
By Fritz Gellerman

Re Peter Neilson's comments on Dave Levin's Magic Piano act in Harvard
Square: my doctor has as a hobby printing and selling color
photographs--usually rather artistic. At a recent sidewalk art show here
(DeLand, FL) he had a picture of a rather well-fed white-haired gentleman in
a white sweater and wearing a white knit cap seated at a player piano. The
front of the piano is open and at the right is a metronome. Beside the piano
are stacks of piano rolls. The doc said he took the picture in Boston where
this guy played the piano for the people passing by. Of course I bought the
picture. Presumably what I have here is a genuine picture of Dave Levin's
Magic Piano act, eh? Can you tell me anything more about him? I don't find
him listed in either AMICA or MBSI.
