I refer you to the Journal of Mechanical Music, Spring, 1994 edition, page
28.  Phil Dayson wrote an article on this subject and has continued to do a
lot of work in this area.  Just this weekend at the MBSI Northwest Chapter's
meeting he showed us a _very_much_updated_ direct-reading version of the
orifice flowmeter described in the article.  The range of measurement for
the meter is 3 to 30,000 cubic inches per minute which should cover
everything from the leakage of an individual small pouch to the consumption
of a sizable piano or organ.  The best part of all is that it is fairly
cheap to make.

give you more information.  Since I have not cleared this comment with him,
