MIME Encoded Messages
By Jack Kane

Jody: I would love to hear some of the mail that's going on through
your internet connection. I have a MIDI interface, Cakewalk software,
COMPAQ computer. Do I have what I need to hear the messages???

[ Editor's Note: Jack, the jury's still out on what the best software is to
[ use. Prodigy probably allows you direct FTP access, which means you should
[ be able to download files from the FTP archives directly and then play them.
[ You need to set binary mode when FTP'ing MIDI files, or ZIPped MIDI files.
[ Zipped MIDI files need to be unzipped using the UNZIPPER of your choice.
[ The most popular DOS unzipper can be had from ftp.pkware.com:
 [
 [ /pub/pkware/pkz204g.exe --- a self-extracting archive
 [
[ Steve Vance had some good suggestions, in the article above. I'd
[ like some of the others to dive in here, because the procedures Steve
[ and I use are somewhat technical and are not the only "correct" ones.
 [
 [ Jody
