Leather Sources
By Ron Yost

Hi all,

Another good source of leathers is:

    Columbia Organ Leathers,
    915 Lancaster Ave.,
    Columbia, PA 17512
    Phone: 800-423-7003
    Outside U.S.: 717-684-2108
    Fax: 717-684-4428

They ship on open account and have been very reliable, in my experience. They
carry *only* chrome-tanned leathers, which eliminates the problem of alum
corroding metal valve parts.

They have a very nice sample card and stock all sorts of leathers, including
Kangaroo. Their 'pouch leather' is made of African and Caribbean Hairsheep (uh,
is there a hair_less_sheep?). It's a light beige; almost white; rather than the
brown color of most thin pneumatic leather. Also, it is available in .008-.010"
thickness, which is getting hard to find elsewhere.

I haven't ordered from them for about a year, so I hope they're still in
business!
