Administrivia: Delays in Digest Publishing
By Jody Kravitz

First, let me say that I've been encouraged by the overwhelming support
for the diversity of topics and opinions in the digest. I've also been
encouraged by the number of people who've written to encourage Robin to
continue to participate and the tact that those message have expressed.
After the convention, I'll make a personal phone call to Robin. I think
its best for me to wait until then.

I'm sure there will be a few more messages on the topic, but I'd like
to get things focused back on Automatic Musical Instruments!

The delay(s) in getting the digest out lately are twofold:

   1) I'm getting my house ready for market,

   2) David Wasson has built a roll-changer for his band organ, but it
requires spools with a different inner and outer diameter, so
all the rolls will have to be re-perforated. He also has a bunch
of new music. I'm writing a program for David Wasson to compute
the "chain perforation patterns for his next batch of band organ
      rolls.

This has taken all my spare time for about a week. The program
is showing signs of life, so here's the first digest in several
      days.

P.S. Oh yea, one last thing. I try to spell check everything before
I pass it on. There are days (like today) where there are so
many spelling errors that its incredible. I'd don't want to
discourage anyone from submitting an article because they are not
sure of the spelling of something, but it would be helpful if
you'd proofread your submissions. Correct spelling, and spaces
after punctuation marks (and two spaces at the ends of sentences)
      would help a lot. Thanks.
