65-note piano player rolls, Digest 960525
By Rob DeLand

Another souce you might try will take some work on your part but in my
opinion would be well worth the effort. Nickelodeon "A" rolls have
some of the best ragtime & blues 65-note music available on perforated
paper, and Don Rand has been recutting outstanding "A" rolls for a
number of years. For $35 post-paid you can buy a 10-tune roll full of
outstanding material (you'll have to buy HUNDREDS of 65-note rolls to
find as much good music) but you'll have to slice the A roll into 1- or
2-tune sections, respool them, and add roll leaders. The music should
play fine on your 65-note piano.

As I said, it will take some effort but it's well worth considering.
You can reach Don Rand (Clark Orchestra Roll Co.) at 207-354-8033 or
write to him at 163 Main Street, Thomaston, ME 04861.

Good luck on your search...¶
