Midi Stuff
By Charles Kossman

A few months ago, I wrote in asking for help about How to connect up my
Mac 11cx to my Yamaha Keyboard in order to be able to Download Music
and tunes so as to play the Music on the Keyboard.

Unfortunately, as often happens (to me) or occasionally anyway, I
misplaced or threw out the infoformation and the detailed reply that I
had received. I now can't find it anywhere in this Computer. Anyway,
I still have the Original question and have edited it a little.

Here it is:ΒΆ
**********************************************************
I have a PASSPORT MIDI INTERFACE, a Yamaha Keyboard Model # PSR
6300, a Mac 11cx & the Cables to Connect it all up .I bought a 2nd Hand
100mb Hard disk about 4 years ago & there was Quite a lot of Public
Domain Musical Stuff on it. was able then to play some tunes, Marches,
Nursery Rhymes, and Melodies etc on my Computer then (But not on the
Yamaha). The tunes were in the Disks.(The Computer I had then was a Mac
Plus). It would be terrific if someone would let me know how to make the
Music that was in my Computer then come out through my Yamaha
Keyboard. The Keyboard still has the Midi and wires Connected. I
Connected it all once but I couldn't seem to make it do anything. so ...

I took all the stuff off the Drive and put it onto Disks I still
have the disks but have never done anything about it. Every so often I
noticed stuff coming down through the net which i might somehow (with
some Instruction) try to get into my Computer and play through the
Yamaha keyboard

Maybe the stuff from the Mac Plus wont even work on the 11cx ?

Should I look further into this or just give it all up?
