George Woswick
By Brian Chesters

Some time ago, the subject of re-pinning musical box cylinders came up
for discussion. I mentioned that Englands best (probably) cylinder
re-pinner was George Worswick of Bardney near Lincoln.

Unfortunatly, he died on Tuesday 2nd July of a brain tumor. I have sent
a letter of sympathy to his widow Marina on behalf of musical box
collectors the world over.

He had one of my boxes in for re-pin at the time. There will be no
problem as his widow has arranged for another restorer to call some
time after the funeral to sort things out. I know he has done many
cylinders for overseas clients. If any have one for repin still in
Lincoln, perhaps they can let me know and I will be able to help in a
few weeks time.
