deKleist Wurlitzer 165
By Glenn Thomas

Hi Robbie,

I believe the "Wurlitzer 165" you are speaking of is at Knoebels
Amusement Park in Elysburg, PA. I recently heard and saw this
magnificent instrument.

It is an original deKleist factory converted by Wurlitzer to 165. They
have a very large library of 165 music, and the organ sounds as good as
any 165 you could hear. (I'm a slight authority, having grown up
around Ross Davis' two LA organs and listened to them for years).

Knoebels also has about 4 other band organs, many nickelodeons, and is
well worth much time. I was awestruck by their organs, pianos and
their fine condition. They sell many tapes of these instruments. I've
purchased most of them. Believe they don't sell through many outlets,
as I think I've only seen them at the Herschel Museum in North
Tonawanda NY. Can supply more detail if desired!
