Hi gang,

Even after doing several hundred restorations in the past 35 years, I
still have not mastered the stack cut-off and expression system tubing
for an original  Welte Reproducer grand piano.  We have done more than
a dozen reproducers of all kinds, including one original Welte (now in
Japan) but the "Licensee" stuff that we have does not seem to help us
with the above problem.

The piano is refinished beautifully (if I must say so myself), the
playing mechanisms work just fine  and the piano plays rather well.
However, the distribution box (stack cutoff box) is not properly done,
the reroll and replay tubes (to the stack cutoff ?) are not installed
and none of the expression tubes are connected.  Based on past
restorations, the expression will work properly _after_ the right hoses
are in the right places.   Help, help help!

I didn't want to guess, so I just "walked away" from the project
several years ago.  I did not want to admit I was "stumped".  Since it
is a part of our own personal collection (we have four other
reproducers to listen to and a 30 rank  Aeolian ca. 1921 MIDI organ to
enjoy), I have not worried about it.  However, I need to finish it!

Is there anyone with a copy of the _original_ tubing diagram (not
Licensee) to share?

  [ Ed. Note: Rick, is this piano of European or American manufacture?

Another question.  Can anyone tell me about Deagan "Reville Bells" from
a large Theater Organ?  We have an Aeolian Residential Organ (MIDI)
with chimes, marimba, glockenspiel, harp, Wurlitzer piano stop, etc. to
which we have added two large Barton toy counters.  We are looking at
Deagan "reville bells" (I never heard of before) to also add, maybe.
Any Theater Organ folks listening who can help me with this?  How about
value?  How were they used, and what purpose in a large Theater Organ
did they serve?  Any help would be appreciated.
