The software that comes with the AWE32 contains a MIDI player, a WAV
recorder, and a MIXER.   These three in combination will transfer a
MIDI into a WAV file.

The MIDI player feeds into the MIXER, and the WAV recorder reads from
it.

I'm still exploring how to combine both sides of a stereo image into a
mono WAV file. I believe it is possible via the MIXER.
