Recut of 73-Note Roll
By Larry Karp

For many years, I've been holding on to a roll, produced for a
73-note Danish vorsetzer system, of Brahms' Academic Festival
Overture. I've hoped to interest someone in recutting it for 88-note
players, but everyone I've asked has told me that the work would be
prohibitively difficult and expensive, given the differences between
the sizes of the spaces and the holes in 73 and 88 note tracker bars.

Still, I keep hoping. This roll looks as if it would be marvelous.
IS there anyone out there who might be interested?

[ Perhaps Wayne Stahnke would be willing to scan this "as an experiment"
[ and make the scanned file available for to everyone. That would
[ solve half of your problem and make it available to those of us who
[ have technical curiosity about it.
