Rick,
   I found the Simplex player to be fairly simple to rebuild, the one I
am doing now will actually be my third Simplex rebuild. The only other
brand I have worked on is a Starr ( I have a long way to go on it ) and
I feel that the simplex is alot easier than the starr because of the
screwed on pneumatics instead of the glued on ones. I'm sure that Craig
B. has rebuilt about every brand and knows what is easy and what is
hard but I don't think you should give up on a Simplex if you find a
good one in your price range. I would be happy to give you more details
if you would like.
